UKSolutions owns and maintains two dedicated co-location facilities, managing a diverse multi carrier national network, focusing on delivering unparalleled, exceptional support through our dedicated in-house technical teams.Having achieved a 34% growth in revenues in FY 09/10, we are looking to build upon this success and appoint a new Business Development Manager to focus on new business sales and support new customer enquiries.
Principle Accountabilities
The successful candidate will focus on new business sales from both self generated and inbound leads. You will have previous experience in co-location, hosting and/or enterprise service provider sales, Account Management and Account Development to support the criteria outlined below. You will work towards delivering the strategy for ongoing growth:- Delivering sales against agreed revenue targets
- Identifying and prospecting new business
- Provide accurate reporting and maintenance of internal systems
- Communicating and production of formal quotations of service
- Attending and presenting at local and remote client meetings
- Attending exhibitions and shows
- Reporting client feedback and requirements into the organisation to ensure it develops its portfolio in-line with market needs
- Understand each client business and extend the delivery of the UKSolutions portfolio
- Partner with the other areas of the organisation to provide pre-sales support including, implementation planning, high quality tender responses and business case development
Skills and Experience
- Proven track record of sales in a technical business to business environment
- The ability to work autonomously and lead client meetings
- Good project management skills and the proven ability to work within strict time constraints
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills and understanding of Internet technologies
- Ability to work in a structured and transparent way aligned with core business aims
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Full driving licence
- Previous experience of working within datacentre/internet/telecoms sector
